Angina pectoris or angina pain is

Angina pectoris or angina pain is pain that signals heart, there is insufficient oxygen. Most often it is because the coronary arteries feeding the heart, to "clog" partly because of a plate atheroma. The angina is usually a first cardiac alert. It is a serious disease that must be explored and that often requires medical treatment along the way and according to rules of healthy living.

A pain in the chest

Angina is generally revealed by a pain that typically occurs during an effort (sometimes in a very strong emotion, abrupt change in temperature). The pain is located in the center and behind the chest and may radiate in the back, jaw and left arm. Once at rest, it disappears after a few minutes. We call this condition angina of effort. What is happening in the heart? The heart, like any muscle, needs to feed and receive oxygen. These are the coronary arteries, located around the heart, which provide different nutrients oxygen. Sometimes these "engages" and begin to clog due to fat deposits called atheroma plates. At rest the coronary sufficiently feed the heart. But in an effort needs are greatest and coronary partially blocked, can no longer provide enough oxygen to the heart muscle. The heart suffers and then we alert: pain in the chest appears. There are other causes much more rare in angina pectoris, as an obstructive cardiomyopathy, a narrowing aortic … At other times it occurs spasm of the coronary artery clogging that a coup (angina Prinzmetal).
