Most of us are aware that diet and exercise are important to stay healthy. But did you know that a healthy mouth is also an important part of a healthy body? The oral health problems can affect quality of life. The oral pain, missing teeth or infections of the mouth can affect how to talk, eat and behave in society. These oral health problems can diminish the quality of life, because they affect his physical well-being, mental and social. Oral disease, like other diseases, must be addressed. The pain and bleeding gums are often overlooked, but chronic infection, including in the mouth, is a serious problem that should not be taken lightly. There may even be a link between oral disease and other health problems such as cardiovascular disease, stroke and premature births and insufficient birth weight. Even if researchers are only beginning to understand these links, there is evidence that oral disease can aggravate other health problems and that oral health is an important component of a healthy lifestyle.
