Preventing Build Up Of Plaque That Causes Swollen Gums

With proper care, it is easy to prevent plaque build up that causes gum irritation, red, bleeding and swollen gums. You need to make sure that you brush your teeth at least twice a to be able to get rid of plaque from all the surfaces of your teeth. Daily flossing should be observed to remove plaque from between your teeth and under the gumline, where a toothbrush may not reach. You must also limit sugar or starchy foods, especially sticky snacks. Try to get a regular schedule of dental visits and get professional cleanings and dental examinations.
